Terms of Service

1. About Taskbed

Taskbed is an online marketplace that connects residents of Abuja, Nigeria with verified local service providers across a range of skilled and unskilled trades. We act as an intermediary platform and are not a party to the service contract between clients and providers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Taskbed. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete. Taskbed reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion.

3. Client Obligations

As a client on Taskbed, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when submitting service requests.
• Make all workmanship payments through Taskbed's official payment process only.
• Treat service providers with respect and professionalism.
• Confirm or dispute job completion within 48 hours of being notified. After 48 hours, jobs are automatically confirmed.
• Not attempt to circumvent the platform by arranging off-platform transactions.

4. Provider Obligations

Service providers are subject to separate Provider Terms accepted at the time of registration, which cover identity verification, commission rates, conduct standards, payment terms, and platform rules.

5. Payments

All workmanship payments are processed through Taskbed and held on the client's behalf until the job is confirmed complete. Material costs are separate and may be paid directly to the provider. Taskbed does not take commission on material costs.

If you make a workmanship payment outside of the Taskbed payment flow, you forfeit all dispute resolution and refund protections.

6. Disputes

If you are unsatisfied with a completed service, you may raise a dispute within 48 hours of the job being marked done. Our support team will review the dispute and respond within 5 business days. Taskbed's decision on disputes is final.

7. Reviews

After a job is confirmed complete, clients are invited to leave a review for their provider. Reviews must be honest and based on your actual experience. Taskbed reserves the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these terms.

8. Platform Rules

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users or providers.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

Taskbed is a marketplace platform and does not employ service providers. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services provided. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taskbed's liability is limited to the amount of the transaction in dispute.

10. Changes to Terms

Taskbed may update these terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
